Why LLCS?
LLCS brings together over 25 years of NHS nursing experience with more than a decade working across clinical and commercial wound care. This dual perspective allows me to bridge the gap between frontline practice, industry innovation and real world implementation.
My approach is shaped not only by professional expertise, but by lived experience. Having experienced prolonged lower limb injury and recovery firsthand, I understand the impact wounds have on dignity, independence and quality of life. This insight informs a person centred, outcome focused approach that recognises healing is as much about people as it is about products or protocols.
Through LLCS, I support organisations to improve wound care and lower limb management by combining clinical credibility, reflective insight and practical consultancy. The focus is simple: realistic solutions, ethical practice and better outcomes for patients and services.
My Story
LLCS Ltd was founded from a deep commitment to improving outcomes in wound care and lower limb management through evidence based, person centred practice.
I qualified as a nurse at the University of Brighton in 1999, beginning my career within vascular services, where I developed a strong interest in tissue viability, complex wounds and the impact long term conditions have on patients’ lives. Over the past two decades, I have combined senior NHS clinical experience with over ten years in the medical device industry, allowing me to bring both clinical credibility and commercial understanding to my consultancy work.
My approach to wound care is also shaped by personal experience. As a young adult, I sustained significant lower limb trauma following a serious accident, requiring prolonged hospitalisation and rehabilitation. Experiencing dependency, loss of independence and uncertainty from a patient’s perspective profoundly influenced how I understand vulnerability, dignity and the importance of partnership in care.
This lived experience continues to inform my professional practice. It has strengthened my commitment to involving patients in decisions, gaining informed consent, and recognising that non adherence or distress often reflects unmet emotional or practical needs rather than a lack of motivation. I believe effective wound care extends beyond products and protocols; it requires empathy, communication and an appreciation of the wider psychosocial factors that influence healing.
Today, through LLCS, I support organisations, clinicians and industry partners by combining reflective clinical insight with pragmatic, outcome focused consultancy. My aim is to advance best practice in wound care and lower limb management while ensuring that care remains compassionate, ethical and centred on the individual.
